Judith’s Story

“I don’t want to suffer with osteoporosis like my sister”

Judith’s Story

A wake-up call

“My sister is 11 years older than me – she is my future. She has always been super healthy, slim, fit and very active and to look at her you wouldn’t know she has osteoporosis”

Diagnosed with osteopenia despite having no symptoms

Judith was diagnosed with osteopenia after she insisted on having a DEXA scan.  She had no symptoms and felt and looked fine in herself. However, when her older sister discovered her osteopenia had progressed to osteoporosis, Judith wanted to get checked herself.

Her sister’s diagnosis was a wake-up call for Judith. “Despite keeping herself fit, my sister now finds herself on a full-blown drugs programme for osteoporosis. I want to avoid what’s happened to her and believe Marodyne LiV could help me do that.”

 Avoiding further bone health deterioration

Judith’s DEXA scan result prompted her to take preventative action to avoid her bone health deteriorating further and to ensure she doesn’t end up having to take medication. She upped her calcium intake, returned to doing weight training and started working out with a personal trainer.  She also looked into other natural preventative options and found Marodyne LiV.

“I aim to use the Marodyne LiV each morning – usually while the porridge is cooking!” says Judith. “My device is set up near a window and I love to take those 10 minutes to look outside, watch the birds and animals in the garden. I find it’s good to do before I walk the dogs or go to the gym for my PT session.”

Judith won’t know until she has another DEXA scan how much it’s helping her. For now, she is reassured that the vibrations she can feel working through her whole body are doing her good.

Nationwide screening of women could catch the disease earlier

“If I could reverse my osteopenia, that would be amazing.”

As a retired radiographer, Judith has seen plenty of elderly people with osteoporosis.  It’s often thought of as an older person’s disease, but Judith realises now that women in their 40s and 50s have osteopenia.

“I haven’t had any fractures and unless I’d had my DEXA scan, I’d be none the wiser that my bone health is poor. I’d like to see nationwide screening of women aged 50+ to try and catch it early when it’s more easily treated.”

Judith enjoys reading scientific research papers and is reassured by the studies and documentation behind Marodyne LiV.

“I’m using Marodyne LiV in the hope it will halt further decline in my bone density.  Of course, if I could reverse my osteopenia, that would be amazing.”

Menohealth

We are working together with Menohealth to create a society free from osteoporosis. Julie Robinson, founder of Menohealth, shares our ethos that prevention is better than ‘cure’ when managing menopause symptoms and actively encourages women to take control of their bodies at this time of their life.

“I’m reassured by the fact Marodyne LiV is clinically approved to prevent and combat osteoporosis and the science backing its effectiveness looks strong,” says Julie.  “As a 100% natural way to boost bone health, Marodyne LiV sits well alongside our stance here at Menohealth of taking a holistic approach to healthcare. I have no hesitation in recommending women look at using Marodyne LiV alongside making healthy diet and lifestyle choices during menopause.”
