Danah’s Story

“I’m so grateful to Marodyne LiV and feel much better for doing something natural to boost my bone health.”

Danah’s Story

Shocked to be diagnosed with osteoporosis aged 56

“I didn’t want to take the alendronic acid recommended by my GP and instead decided to try a combination of HRT and Marodyne LiV”

Effects of her diagnosis

Danah was diagnosed with osteoporosis in September 2020 having had osteopenia for three years.  She found it quite a shock to have this diagnosis and see the deterioration compared to the one she had received three years previously, especially as she exercises a lot and eats healthily.

Danah was advised to take alendronic acid but didn’t want to take medication. Instead, she chose to continue with her healthy lifestyle choices including a long daily walk with her dog, joining a Zumba class three times a week and doing yoga once a week. Danah also has regular personal training sessions during which she does bodyweight exercises and uses free weights.

Putting weight through your heels sends the vibrations to your head

“It must be doing something if I can feel it through my whole body”

Danah sees a rheumatologist to help her manage her menopause symptoms, including losing her bone density.  It was she who advised Danah to try HRT, rather than medication. She also suggested Danah look for other ways to specifically help prevent her bones from further decline.  “I had read up on Marodyne LiV and decided to add this to my daily regime.”

“I like to read while I’m using the Marodyne LiV: it’s a nice time to do that,” says Danah who uses the device each day after her exercise session. The time she uses it varies each day, so she keeps a reminder note handy to make sure she doesn’t forget to do her 10 minutes.

Danah enjoys the vibrations and likes to put the weight through her heels to send the sensation right to the top of her head.  “It must be doing something if I can feel it through my whole body!” she says.

Reassured by the science

“I’ll take Marodyne LiV on holiday with me!”

Each day, Danah feels better for doing something practical and natural to boost her bone health. While she awaits a follow-up DEXA scan, she is reassured by the science behind the device and firmly believes Marodyne LiV is doing her good each day.

“I like to know I’m doing all I can to tackle my osteoporosis. My main aim is to halt the progression of the disease – and it would be just amazing if I can actually improve my bone health.”

Danah is so attached to her Marodyne, she admits she would have withdrawal symptoms if she missed any sessions. To that end, she plans to take it on holiday with her!

Menohealth

We are working together with Menohealth to create a society free from osteoporosis. Julie Robinson, founder of Menohealth, shares our ethos that prevention is better than ‘cure’ when managing menopause symptoms and actively encourages women to take control of their bodies at this time of their life.

“I’m reassured by the fact Marodyne LiV is clinically approved to prevent and combat osteoporosis and the science backing its effectiveness looks strong,” says Julie.  “As a 100% natural way to boost bone health, Marodyne LiV sits well alongside our stance here at Menohealth of taking a holistic approach to healthcare. I have no hesitation in recommending women look at using Marodyne LiV alongside making healthy diet and lifestyle choices during menopause.”
